Mew Fishcake

Personality:     Distant and introverted, but kindhearted and determined

Story:                Piscia is an alien girl whose species resides underwater. Her realm is constantly attacked by ravenous sea monsters, and so many times her people were on edge and ready for an attack. Piscia becomes a Mew after finding a powerful stone at the bottom of her ocean while scouting around one day that, upon being touched, infuses her body with its power and grants her new abilities. With this power, Piscia defends her people from the creatures that threaten her realm.

Notes:               

• Mew Fishcake does not have a pendant on her Mewfit. She instead has a gold, pointed band that keeps her hair up and out of her way.
• Though the traditional canon Mewfits are puffy, Mew Fishcake's is slim and sleek, hugging her body like a swimsuit since needs to be able to move underwater more easily.

Mew Kiwano

Fighting Style: Long distance, agile, and weapon only. Tricky and swift in battle, always on her toes. Uses her experience hunting in the wild to pounce upon enemies.

Personality:     Strong, bold, unafraid of consequence, and altruistic. Kiwano is a brave young girl with a kind heart who will always fight to protect others, no matter the consequence. She is the kind of person who will always put others before herself.

• Mew Kiwano's song title, Bafazi, translates to "women" from Xhosa, a Nguni Bantu language from South Africa.

Mew Pink Diana

Weapon:           Bow and arrow, the Diana's Grace, which she dances with in her attacks.

Fighting Style: Graceful and flowing. Attacks from a distance, but can dance her way through or out of a close encounter.

Personality:     Delicate, sweet, graceful. Diana is fairly even-tempered and tends to think before she acts. She will typically hold her head high and go at her own pace, but she is not at all snobbish or rude. She is very patient with and kind to others.

Notes:               

• Mew Pink Diana was originally going to be a character focused on ballet like Mew Mint. The dancing motif stayed, though it's not explicitly ballet-focused.
• Diana is the name of a Roman goddess in mythology whose symbols include the bow and arrow, and deer. She is the goddess associated with things like hunting and the moon. Mew Pink Diana's name comes from this association with deer and the bow and arrow, given her weapon and animal DNA.

Mew Venom Sweet

Fighting Style: Up-close, weapon only. Can poison enemies with weapon or venom-laced nails. Punches the ground with her weapon to shake it around her enemies

Personality:     Hotheaded, but kind to those who are kind to her. Determined and stubborn, always doing what it takes to reach her goals. She takes care of those she holds close but is ruthless against her foes and anyone she deems a threat.

Story:                Tania works at a nature reserve on Round Island, but lives on Mauritius. Having grown up around snakes, she knew how to care for them and started working especially with rare snakes on the reserve.

One day, a very vocal group against the preservation of dangerous, life-threatening animals came to burn down the facility and run the workers out. Tania was chased by several men, though they fled once the fire they started began to spread to the surrounding forest, leaving her trapped in a sea of flaming trees with no way out.

She felt her situation hopeless, until a strange tree spirit, a Yakshini, came to her out of the flames. It offered Tania a power to protect all people and creatures of the island's forest, and gave her a strange pendant before disappearing. The pendant transformed her body into something far more powerful, infused with snake-like and elemental abilities. Tania used this power to defend the island and her home.

MeW Kat

Name:               Kat

Mew Mark:        None, since she has no DNA

Power:              Android. Kat can shoot explosive projectiles from her hands and fly using her boots. She can also voluntarily short-circuit with a short burst of electricity if enemies touch her, though this is done as a last resort since the action temporarily incapacitates both her and the enemy. Parts of Kat's robotic body can also glow in the dark, allowing her to see and be seen in low light. She is resistant to biological weaponry due to her robotic shell.

Weapon:           Rockets, canons, and electricity that can be fired from her hands

Attack:              Kat Rockets

Fighting Style: Weapon and element. She fights from a distance and uses flight in her attacks. Very rarely does she engage in hand-to-hand combat or use electricity unless necessary.

Personality:     Kat is accustomed to patient care, so she has a charismatic personality and can make light of bad situations.

Story:                Kat lives in a future where aliens have come to cleanse the Earth of humankind in order to appropriate the planet for their own use, releasing a bacteria from their world into the environment in order to do so. Once the bacteria infects a human host and makes them sick, they cannot be cured and can only wait to pass away. In efforts to combat the threat, scientists and officials from various nations team up to study the bacteria to find a cure. They also initiate a project to transfer human memories into android host bodies to act as super-weapons, meant to fight the aliens, as their own human defenses are failing. These androids are referred to as Metamorphosed Warriors, or MeWs for short, and they serve to protect humanity and buy it time to create a cure for the infection

Volunteering citizens are encouraged to help in the fight, so many people who have nothing else to lose after being infected by the bacteria sign up to have their memories preserved and bodies used for the project. In its early stages, many people were lost because the transfer process was still far from perfect, but they eventually managed to stabilize it. Kat enrolled in this MeWs transfer program after being infected, having been a nurse at the time that the sickness began and managing to avoid infection until an alien released the bacteria directly into her apartment building, knowing it housed many medical staff. Kat successfully had her memories, thoughts, and feelings transferred to a robotic body, and gladly worked to protect her people.

Notes:               

• MeW Kat dons robotic ears that resemble cat ears and is more vividly colored since the androids were built to look friendly and inviting to the people they had to save.
• MeW Kat does not have a Mew pendant like a traditional Mew.

Mew Lumi

Fighting Style: None, as she is a pacifist. She will not lay a hand on anyone, avoids conflict or confrontation, and only serves as a guide to those who are lost. Skye will disappear from sight if approached, due to her non-confrontational nature.

Personality:     Delicate, gentle, and caring. Skye is a peaceful individual who looks out for others and treats them gently. She is a good listener, and does not irritate easily.

Story:                Skye lived in the woods in a small cabin with her mother, a fantasy novelist who'd moved to a forested area with a low population. Skye was born without the ability to speak and resorted to quieter activities to pass the time. One day, she got so caught up in chasing a strange looking butterfly with prismatic wings that she ended up lost in the woods, but was unable to call out for help.

She managed to catch the creature only to find that it was a fairy. This fairy offered to grant Skye some of her power if she agreed to let her go, which Skye did. With the fairy's power, she was transformed into a Mew and found herself with unusual gifts. She used her new form to wander the forest, helping others who needed aid or were lost like she'd been. She serves as a beacon for others with her glow, but often disappears if anyone tries to meet her.

Notes:               

• Since Skye was born mute, she will usually communicate with sign language or other body language like hand, facial, arm, and head gestures.

Mew Guimauve

Interests:          Loves sweets, especially confectionery. Marsha is obsessed with fluffy animals and plush novelty objects, as well as the color pink. She will typically surround herself in anything colored light shades of pink

Mew Mark:        A pink marshmallow on her tongue

Weapon:           The Guimauve Rod, a wand with a soft plush handle that Mew Guimauve spins around with to summon a blast of sugar-infused energy

Attack:              Ribbon Guimauve Sugarblast

Fighting Style: Weapon only, and fights from a distance. She will usually strike her opponent with attacks from her wand, but never engages in close combat. If she is ever in the fray, she'll run away until she's at a safer distance.

Personality:     Marsha is very energetic and cute. She's almost always in a happy and giggly mood,adding to her sweeter nature which is meant to reflect her sweeter marshmallow motif.

• Guimave is French for marshmallow, and this particular version of the confection is usually pink.
• Mew Guimauve wears pink marshmallows on her outfit, even donning one on her choker rather than the traditional Mew pendant
• Marsha is the human personification of guimauve.

Mew Ivy

Name:               Ivy Bell

Mew Mark:        A green, curved piece of vine, shaped similarly to a question mark, on her forehead

Power:              Nature and poison. She turns people into plant-human hybrid creatures and can poison enemies herself.

Weapon:           No weapon, but fights with nature elements and poison. Several small vines extend from one of her arms instead of a hand. Her arm vines can serve both as poisonous whipping weapons and as injectors that can infect humans so that Mew Ivy can control them. With her human hand, she can actually control plants around her.

Attack:              Vine Whip / Plant Control

Fighting Style: Mew Ivy prefers to fight up close, but is sly and is not above falling back and waiting. She uses her vine arm to ensnare other people and inject them with poison which can cause her to be able to control them, and when farther away, she can control plant life around her.

Personality:     She is a little sultry and enjoys being evil. She has always had a high-superiority complex. Though she was always to-herself, she looked down on others quite often, especially if they weren’t as passionate about plant life as she was. She especially held a grudge against others if they did anything to hurt the environment around them.

Story:                Ivy used to be human. She often tended to a greenhouse at her school, alone the way she liked. She was unfortunately kidnapped one day by aliens who infused her body with plant DNA and their own DNA and power, in order to create a being to their benefit that could help them cleanse the Earth of humanity. They thought humans parasites, and wanted to preserve the Earth for themselves. In order to do this, they had chosen a random group of people to transform and join their cause so as to extend their reach. While Ivy gained new power, her body was slightly altered, and she grew vines in place of one of her hands. She was one of several others across her city who had been transformed into Mews, though she fights alone.

Notes:               

• Ivy's viney arm returns to normal upon her transforming back into a human with her pendant. She mostly reverts back to her human form in order to sneak by threats undetected, or to infiltrate certain places without causing alarm.
• When Ivy isn't in her Mew form, she pushes her bangs forward to keeps her Mew Mark covered.

Mew Bumble

Power:              Can summon a swarm of bees, poison people with her weapon, and fly for short periods of time.

Weapon:           The Bee Stings, a pair of venom-tipped needles that resemble bee stingers. She uses these as batons, spinning them in the air, then catching and crossing them together to summon a bunch of bees to attack enemies. She can also poison people by jabbing them with her weapons.

Attack:              Bumble Summon / Poison Stingers

Fighting Style: Weapon only. She fights from a distance, summoning bees to do her bidding. Sometimes she will get up close and jab at enemies with her needles.

Personality:     Her attention is all over the place since she has trouble focusing at times. She is excited by lots of things and has to resort to various interests to keep her attention, and beekeeping especially keeps her calm. She is very kindhearted and sweet, but can sometimes come across as overbearing and rude because she has the tendency to accidentally interrupt people when they’re talking.

Her pendant hangs from the wrap on her right wrist instead of on her collar.

Mew Aquaris

Mew Mark:        Green dragontail butterfly wings on their back

Power:              Can summon water and air blasts with their weapon, use their water power to heal themself or others, and is able to fly with butterfly wings that are tucked in their robes. The robes have cuts on the back that allow the wings to retract and be tucked back under. Mew Aquaris’ wings are usually tucked when they transform, but can be unfurled and used to fly.

Weapon:           The Aqua Scepter, which they use to summon water and air attacks that hone in on enemies.

Attack:              Aquaris Wave / Aquaris Gale

Fighting Style: Distant, weapon only, calm and collected. Mew Aquaris seems to be very confident in all their battles and are very slow-moving and methodical. Sometimes, they remain with a smile on their lips, which sometimes sends shivers up the enemy’s spine.

Personality:     Introverted, mysterious, level-headed. Giddeon rarely speaks and usually smiles softly at people. They never seem to be angered or excited by anything in particular. Giddeon is often seen in libraries, reading as many books as they can.

• Ganache, Giddeon’s last name, is a type of sauce that can be used as a glaze topping for cakes.
• Giddeon is nonbinary.
• Mew Aquaris’ pendant doubles as a brooch, holding their cloak together.

Mew Blush

Weapon:           The Blushy Brush, which she uses to paint colored water on the ground or in the air. Wherever she aims her brush, she summons a pressurized wave of water shaped like what she painted to attack enemies. The water she summons can be random colors depending on her emotions, but its default color is a translucent red with the same tint and hue as her outfit.

Fighting Style: Distant, weapon only.

Personality:     Despite her upbeat and cheery appearance, Zoe is introverted. She does, however, enjoy being a Mew because she gets to paint. She is passionate about art and wants to be a professional painter someday.

• Casein, Zoe's last name, is a type of milk-based paint that is commonly thinned with water to the desired consistency of the artist.
• Mew Blush's Mewfit has frills meant to mimic the wavy bodies of cuttlefish, though she does not have any apparent animal traits on her body.

Mew Chrome

Weapon:           The Chrome Rings, a pair of sharp-edged ring weapons that he can throw and call back by clapping. They can also be used to create waves of sound when banged together.

Attack:              Ribbon Resonance Ring

Fighting Style: Weapon only. He's clumsy in battle, and sometimes drops his weapons, but he's also highly determined and seldom gives up. He fights from a distance, but is able to use his weapons up close if need be.

Personality:     Aiden is relatively timid, but passionate. He only opens up to others when they share or show interest in the things he likes, though most people generally consider him friendly.

• Aiden works at a pet shop
• Poi is a staple Hawaiian food made from Taro root. Its consistency is said to be similar to Mochi or other paste-like foods

Mew Cauliflower

Name:               Amelia Caspith

Power:              Amelia's head is much sturdier than a human's, allowing her to use it and her horns to ram enemies with excessive force without damaging herself

Weapon:           The Onyx Knuckles, a pair of brass knuckles that she uses to punch enemies and objects.

Attack:              Onyx Cauliflower Punch

Fighting Style: Uses both her weapon and her animal abilities. She fights up close, often using her knuckles in a fist-fight or headbutting people furiously to get them out of her way.

Personality:     Amelia is very brutish, headstrong, and has a "lone wolf" mentality. She has a hard drive to succeed in everything she does and takes things personally if she fails.

Story:                Amelia became romantically interested in the scientist who turned her into a Mew. She was recruited by him since he found her athletic prowess useful, and he offered to pay her to partake in his work. However, he broke Amelia's heart when she discovered he was actually an awful, manipulative person. He'd hoped to use her Mew form and its powers as protection from some aliens who'd been on Earth for peaceful research, ones he stole from and consequently angered. He came across their base and took some of their equipment in hopes of making money off of it, which he succeeded in doing and was why he could even fund his work. Amelia left him when she found out about his prior actions and intentions, and started fighting solo.

She now helps other people, but is not afraid to get down and dirty and break a few rules if need be. She mostly works to stop the scientist who keeps trying to do villainous things with his new-found fortune. The aliens often approach Mew Cauliflower with the offer to team up, but she always refuses.

Notes:               

• A ram is a male sheep. While Mew Cauliflower has the traits of a ram, she is female.

Mew Precious

Power:              Can conjure elemental blasts with her weapon.

Weapon:           The Zebra Deck—An oversized deck of cards. Cards can summon blasts of fire, air, water, or light depending on the suit (Ace, Jack, King or Queen, respectively). Numbered cards produce physical attacks where the card is launched at an enemy to inflict slicing damage before it returns to the deck.

Attack:              "(Rank) of (Suit) - (Element) Blast!" (Ex. "Queen of Hearts - Light Blast!"). The second phrase is instead changed to "Full Force!" when the card is a number, since the attack is physical. For example, ("Three of Clubs - Full Force!")

Fighting Style: Fights from a distance since she prefers not to get her hands dirty. She is also quite tricky, sly, and lucky.

Personality:     Very lively and wild, but some people might find her enthusiastic personality overbearing. Darlene is obsessed with gambling and poker, and makes everything a game of chance or betting. Despite her vices and wild personality, she is very sweet to people who aren’t as confident as she is and is very sensitive to their needs. She takes care of her friends and others in need. Darlene is obsessed with gambling and casino-hopping, often out for a night on the town.

• Darlene is a transgender woman.
• Mew Precious has a poker chip hanging on her choker instead of the traditional gold pendant.
• Zebra Cakes are Darlene's favorite snack!
• The markings on Mew Precious' wrists and ankles show up only when she transforms. They are actually part of her skin and reflect her Zebra Moray Eel DNA.

Mew Carrot Caper

Mew Mark:        A dark brown pair of rabbit’s ears that extend along her index and middle fingers. She often puts up a peace sign to reveal her Mew Mark

Power:              Can make high jumps, dexterous, and can transform into a rabbit to traverse or escape. She can also utilize shadows by completely disappearing in them, then reappearing when she gets to the next or nearest light source.

Weapon:           The Spiced Carrot Staff. She uses it to jump around, elevate herself, and pole vault over obstacles. She will also use it to hit enemies or keep them away from her.

Attack:              Carrot Caper Spring! (when pole vaulting away) / Ribbon Caper Shadow (for concealment)

Fighting Style: Fights sporadically and is jumpy and swift, using skills gained from gymnastics and track. For slower opponents, she is a handful.

Personality:     Bubbly, cute, and full of energy and life. Though she is a thief, she still has a heart and will treat others kindly, aspiring never to hurt anyone. She usually picks nonviolent options when dealing with opponents.

Story:                Francine partnered with an intelligent but non-athletic friend who found a way to infuse her body with rabbit DNA. The duo were unhappy with economic injustices, so together they started robbing random lavish places to give money and goods to the needy. Francine's friend acts as a lookout and plans heists, while she does all the fieldwork.

Notes:               

• Mew Carrot Caper’s outfit is loosely based on the design of the Rogue godtier class from Homestuck. Roxy Lalonde's character was especially an inspiration for this design choice.
• Her Mew name was originally Mew Carrot Cake before I implemented the thief theme

Mew Vivid Mantis

Mew Mark:        A pair of multicolored antennae on the corner of each eyelid

Power:              Scientific—she mixes objects and elements together to create various chemically-enhanced, elemental blasts. Like a mantis shrimp, she able to see a color spectrum that humans cannot, and has a powerful grasp. Oddly, aside from her grip, she is not as strong as the mantis shrimp and instead relies on science.

Weapon:           The Mantis Thermos. This weapon was invented by her, not granted by her Mew form. It is a thermos where she places random objects or elements to create new ones to blast at enemies. She will close the cap, press a few buttons, and shake it until it’s ready to burst. Then, she opens it toward the enemy and blasts them with whatever she created. Because she does not always calculate the chemical properties of some things she puts in, the thermos may sometimes backfire and cause an explosion that affects her too.

Attack:              Mantis Chemical Blast

Fighting Style: Distant, experimental, and ultimately unpredictable. She will grab random objects to throw together in her thermos. What she lacks in physical strength, she makes up for in her blasts. Although the Mantis Shrimp is extremely strong and furious, Amanda is strangely the opposite!

Personality:     Amanda is a positive and relaxed person who tends to take things as they come without issue. She shrugs off all her failures and looks forward to her next tasks and eventual future successes. The world fascinates her, and she loves to share her ideas with others. Amanda is an award-winning scientist with outlandish-sounding theories that are, above all things, highly supported by research. She is not, however, above making or admitting to mistakes.

Story:                Amanda is an aquatic scientist and chemical specialist who had a huge accident in a lab that fused her DNA with that of a mantis shrimp. She uses her power to help others and protect the environment from people who try to harm it.

Notes:               

• Amanda’s pendant is actually a medal she won for research that was used to help protect aquatic life. She wears it around her neck regularly to motivate her in her other research.
• Amanda’s original Mew design included whiskers instead of antennae (see right image)
• Mew Vivid Mantis’s heavy color saturation is intentional—she is considered an eyesore by some, despite those same people applauding what she does and rooting for her. Mantis Shrimp are vividly colored, but this Mew’s colors are even more exaggerated to fit her personality and power. She does not mind her form, though, and has fun being herself.

Personality:     Very electric, outgoing, and fun-loving. Chip is a bit of a rebel against injustices, and will always help others who are being put down. She has a bit of chaotic energy about her and does things her own way, even if it's a little destructive.

Weapon:           A long scythe, the Death Eater Scythe. She uses it to unleash a flurry of blows and can even infect others with it if she infuses her weapon with her power of decay.

Fighting Style: Combination of weapon and element, and prefers to fight up close. Mew Death Eater tends to slowly approach the enemy. Most people undermine her because of her thin physique and small size, but she can be extremely powerful. She will never rush an opponent, preferring to scare them by moving slow while approaching them with her weapon.

Personality:     Morrigan was always a quiet person, sticking close to her family and doing the things she liked to on her own. She never really had many friends, and she was content with that. Morrigan is pretty shy before she becomes a Mew, but becomes a little more forward after. She even will make quips at times toward her enemies, in a playful manner but still with a monotone delivery.

Story:                Morrigan Vanth was a young girl who, long ago, lived out in the country on a ranch with her parents. She was always shy, tending to her duties and some plants and barn animals her parents owned, but was comfortable being by herself. She loved to swim at a lake nearby, a beautiful safe spot hidden by trees, rocks, and shrubs. However, local corporate farmers started using the lake to dump their waste, polluting it and its wildlife utterly. Morrigan fought to try to stop these polluters, but was unfortunately tossed into the lake by one of them and lost consciousness. She was infected by a brain-eating amoeba that had plagued the now-polluted lake and became sick. Though she was lost to the water, she soon emerged from it with strange power. She could no longer leave her resting place, but would fight to defend it from polluters. She remains there to this day, scaring anyone off who tries to destroy the thing she loves.

Notes:               

• The Brain-Eating Amoeba is often found in rivers and lakes, especially ones that have not been kept clean. It can also be found in swimming pools that are poorly kept. It is a very dangerous bacteria that attacks brain tissue, and it usually enters through the nose when swimming.
• Blue Cheese is cultured with bacteria and spotted with blue mold. This matches Mew Death Eater's theme of decay and it is why she is associated with the food. Like her outfit, the cheese is also white (although slightly spotted with blue, hence the name).
• Both Morrigan's main name and surname have significance. Morrigan is in reference to The Morrígan, a figure from Irish mythology associated with war and fate. Meanwhile, Vanth is a figure from Etruscan mythology commonly depicted in funerary (death/funeral) art. Both name associations have a lot to do with Mew Death Eater's theme.

Mew Choco Choco

Personality:     Curious and funloving when her guard is down, but focused and serious when it is not. She often has to protect herself in the wild by coming off as more threatening than she usually is. She scares pretty easily, but refuses to make that known to anyone or any animal she encounters, so as to appear strong and bold.

Story:                Rojo's parents did not expect her to be born, no less prematurely in the jungles of Venezuela that they had been exploring. Afraid of having to raise her, both left Rojo behind, and she was instead raised by howler monkeys who took her in as their own. She never learned to speak her people's language, but instead could communicate with her monkey family. Although she was not accustomed to human interaction, she proved extremely intelligent and curious, able to pick up on things by being observant and crafting tools to use.

Rojo discovered a gold pendant in the forest one day after an encounter with a construction company that had been deforesting the area for building supplies. She'd tried to stop her home from being torn apart, but ended up being injured and went to a nearby river to clean herself up. There, she found the pendant buried in the bed of the river, and she picked it up. The pendant reacted to her, and she transformed into a Mew. Though shocked, she took the gift and used it to drive away the construction company, vowing to use the power to protect her home for as long as she lived.

Personality:     Outgoing but assertive. Stubborn, but kind. She knows when to stand her ground, but is not needlessly mean. She is protective of those who she loves and steps up for those who can't do so for themselves. People are often intimidated by her appearance and forward nature, but Gladys is a genuinely good person and loves to help people.

Story:                Gladys has always been considered odd and cast out by traditional social groups. She found solace in the strange and unusual growing up, nurtured by alternative subculture social groups. She eventually found her own voice through them and adopted her nickname "Pink", so given because she loved to incorporate the color in her outfits, with pride.

Despite the negative social perception of her, Pink always treated people with kindness, and she was hyper-aware of social injustices in need of correction. One day, she encountered a mugging late at night while walking the city streets and put a stop to it quickly. The person she saved was dressed in a cloak and kept their face hidden, but thanked the girl for her help. She handed her a pendant, telling Pink that she seemed like the "right kind of person" to use it.

Pink took the pendant without question, and it strangely transformed her body, giving her a new outfit and the traits of a raccoon. Pink found that she could slip in and out of the shadows, and bend the element to her will. She became excited to use this power, and decided to continue helping others with it from then on, adopting the role of a heroine.

She tends to get very emotional with her manager, whom she has a good relationship with.

Story:                Aika wanted to be a pop idol ever since she was a child, and fought hard to pursue her dream. In the midst of her journey, aliens with a distaste for humankind started to invade her city and began to turn people into monsters using a strange device powered by a bright red gem.

Aika encountered these aliens herself one day and opted to fight back. She managed to grab the strange device and rip the gem out of it. Aika was suddenly then transformed by the gem and became a Mew, realizing then that the aliens were abusing the gem's power and using it the wrong way.

With her new Mew form, Aika used her new abilities to heal others, singing a pop song to reverse the damage done by the aliens and turn monsters back into people. Her music was broadcast online by onlookers recording her, and she actually became popular enough to grab the attention of a major music studio. People loved her cute costume and voice, and were grateful for her help, so she became a Mew idol and signed with the studio, vowing to perform for and protect others. Only her manager knows her real identity.

Notes:               

• Aika's idol name when she first started was Akaidoru, which is a pun. Akai is an adjective meaning "red", and Aidoru means "idol". This name can also be read as "Red Dollar", which is Aika's industry nickname because of how profitable she is.
• Aika's fans call her by her Mew name, or use "Shuiro-Chan". Some even refer to her as "Our akaidoru, Shuiro-Chan" ("Our red idol, Shuiro-Chan").
• When in her civilian form, Aika wears a lot of red, but usually several shades darker than the vermilion of her Mew form.
• Mew Shuiro's Mewfit is a mixture of both canon styles in Tokyo Mew Mew and its spinoff, Re-Turn. She dons the traditional style garters, yet her pendant is replaced with a bow that has a heart-shaped brooch, encompassing a gem inside of it, in the center.

Personality:     Sly, witty, social, sharp-tongued. Vanessa acts relatively sultry, letting words hang softly on her lips when she speaks. She likes to lead people on without having to deliver, a trait she only really honed in on and enhanced while in her field of work. She is sometimes seen as conniving by outsiders who don't know her, but she is capable of showing kindness to others where she needs to. She is not the type of person to put other people down unless she thinks they really deserve it.

Personality:     Lively, energetic, polite but stubborn, upfront and forward. She is very family oriented, protective of her sibling and her parents. She can be a little bit whiny when she's with her family, but usually stiffens up and acts tough for anyone else. Cody likes to be the bigger person in anything she does, and she has a strict set of morals that she abides by.

Story:                Cody lives on a farm with her mother, father, and younger brother. As the older child, she has to help more and has a lot more responsibility, so she has a much more concretely ingrained sense of duty. Her farm is constantly visited and threatened by aliens who use the animals there for their experiments.

On one night in particular, Cody entered one of the alien's ships in pure frustration and in hopes of directly confronting the pilot to pick a fight, angry about the incessant alien visits. However, she ended up in the wrong area of the ship where experiments on alien tech were being done and was infused with alien power after getting too close to one. Though she did not transform right away, she stumbled out of the ship feeling woozy, and the first animal she touched for support, a pig, actually initiated her transformation. Cody gained new powers, which she saw as an advantage. She became Mew Cody in order to protect her land and fight back against the aliens.

Personality:     Lively, easy-go-lucky, bright, and wide-eyed. She knows how to be serious, but usually "goes with the flow". Tends to act ditzier than she actually is, and is more intelligent and well-thought than she lets on.

Story:                Amunete is from a humble and poor home, having learned to pickpocket and flee from the authorities from a young age. She learned how to dance as she grew up, both as a means to keep herself healthy and busy, and to distract her from atrocities in her life. She started using her dancing skills on the street to earn money from tourists, but regularly had to flee from police. When she became a Mew, she started to use her power to distract wealthy and selfish residents and steal jewelry and other precious items from them to be sold or given to less fortunate people. She became especially partial to stealing precious stones, gems, and minerals.

Personality:     Strong, dominant, a pack leader. She takes charge of everything and expects subordinates not to question her word. She rewards extreme loyalty with her trust, but is otherwise untrusting of anyone else, no matter if they say they're on her side. She is bold and brash, but can be a little bit sly and cocky at times if she feels like it.

Story:                Mew Furia is an experienced and refined soldier, having served in the military for quite a few years. She now helps her country carry out missions and raids, regardless of location or goal, and acts as the commander of a troop. Her Mew form is the result of a military experiment, and she became accustomed to it immediately. If she is ever in a pinch of up against extremely dangerous foes, she will transform into a Mew and lash out, usually assuring a victory. Though she does not have armor in her Mew form, she rarely needs it and is extremely powerful and resilient.

She can be a bit stubborn and tough when she needs to be, but otherwise likes to carry herself with a sense of kindness and happiness. Though Mimi prefers to be clean and calm, She is not easily disgusted by anything and is not afraid to get dirty if she really has to.

Story:                Mimi lives on a dairy farm with her family, but does not want to carry on the farm as a job, instead wanting to be a musician. She grew up in the south and surrounded by southern culture, but glorifies the fine arts. Though she does not want to maintain the farm, she wants to make sure the cows are well protected and cared for. As a Mew, she keeps thieves and miscreants away from her family's farm and their cows.

Fighting Style: Tends to fight from a distance. Will usually watch a scene and try to mull over her next move before actually making it. Is swift and clever when she needs to fight up close, and will utilize her powers as much as possible to outsmart her opponents.

Personality:     Kind and quiet, reserved, ambitious, unwavering. Meena is a strong-minded woman with a big heart but a lot of sensibility. She is never brash and always strives to maintain a calm and peaceful open mind. She is observant and listens to people when they speak, but knows when to cut in and take charge. Meena can also be very stern or motherly at times, wanting only the best for others.

Story:                Meena became a Mew as a girl after becoming lost in the forest on her way home. She had been on the run from attackers who were trying to steal her backpack which she always carried on her way home, and in a panic she fled into the forest to avoid them. When she realized she'd gotten lost, she broke down and began to cry, but was saved by a forest spirit who granted her with a special power in exchange for her service in guiding other lost souls.

Meena agreed to this, and so she carried out this task for years using her new Mew form. The form grew as she did, and soon she was an adult woman. She became known among locals as a flying woman, a legend that some people weren't sure even existed. She hardly spoke, but people say that they can hear her in their heads if they get close enough to the forest.

She has a wide range of intense emotions and is the kind of person who will let people know about all of them.
